     ok so iv noticed different people have there own idea of what "real hip-hop" is. some say its the rythem of the rapper others say its just about the sound.  i think that real hip hop is about the content of what the person is rapping about there own struggles and issues in society, instead of the usual things they rap about witch are drugs, girls, violence, money. to me real hip hop is when an artis uses the music to express him or her self and tallk about issues that people werent aware of.

    people say that kanye west has changed and that he dusnt talk about real things in his songs anymore, and i agree. heres something that u can compare to his new music wich is amost all about money and fame. this ones about his mom and how much he loves her.    (something that makes him seem  more human and relatable)

Zion I - Coastin' feat. K. Flay

so this i another hip hop video from two underground artists. but what i like about these songs is that there very unique by taking a old almost jazz style of music and rapping to it shows just how  universal hip hop can be

i wish i knew natalie portman - K-os

    This song was origanaly named "on the run" by  saukrates (the artist featured in the song) but later on was named "i wish i knew natalie portman"by the main artist in the song  K-os. In a interview K-os explained the the name came of the top of his head while beeing pressured by this producers to come up with a name for the song.    But who cares about that? This song probably sounds familier to you, because is based on the song California - Phantom Planet but this version of the song has been given a completly different meaning wich i think is them on the run from the pressure of being an artist. the video is also done like a old movie car chase movie from the 70s. i really like this video because the video itself has a very old style to it and the misic is a hip hop vesion of a new and popular song thats used alot.

acura integra

     The acura integra is a small light car that gets its power from a four cylinder engin that is capable of reaching 9,000 rpm witch is alot seeing as my 6 cylinder car goes up to 6,500 rpm. This car is pretty fast because of its decent amount of horse power and light wight, but what really makes this car special is all the avalable aftermarket parts from engin upgrades to convetion kits (putting the frong end of another car onto yours). this allows people to customise there car to the way they want it so there car can contribute to there identity and brings more individuality into the cars people drive.

k-os

    k-os is not your tipical hip hop artist, his songs all tell a story and are very linear. Also he has a very original sound created by many differant instruments insted of the computer generated sound used in the majority of music today, even hip hop songs are starting to get more of a techno sound and a fast beat to them, but k-os is definitely one artist that isnt afraid not to follow the crowd.

pocket bike racing

ok so when i was a kid me and my friends used to race our pocket bikes up and down pur neighborhood. but now i look at pocket bike racing as a art form because the lack of size and power that the bikes have is almost comical. but the pocket bike racers take racing pocket bikes just as seriously as people would take real superbike racing. wich to me this defamiliarizes the competition and intesity of real motorcycle racing because the same intensity and competition can be found racing bikes that are 10 times smaller and cheaper. it truly is racing for the everyday person.

Jones soda is not the most popular brand of beverages but it is one that really caught my eye. Whats interesting about jones soda is not only there many  differant flavors but its the way they get there customers involved in there final product. For example jones soda has a large picture on its lable that is differant for every bottle, but every picture is picked out from ones that customers upload and submit to be put on a label aswell as a small fortune one the inside of the cap and a little description or artical about the photo.

this was one of my favorite shows growing up. what stets the show apart from the other anime type cartoons is that the story line was farly simple for me to follow as a kid and i woldnt be lost if i missed one episode but what really got me interested in this show is that the charaters in it were just kids and they knew that they had to take on a huge role to folfill the phroficy that they were part of. even though thes kids felt overwhelmed as the story line when by they started taking more and more responsability.

afro samurai

 This is a game based on a animated series, i really liked the show and the game because it takes place in a world were the time and the culture is a little messsed up. to explain the people in this movie live in ancient chinese housing although some of them fight with hi-tech guns and RPGs. Also the culture it a little twisted because the people are from all different backgrounds and whenever the main character enters a bar or store there is always hip hop music playing in the background.

 Another reason why this game stands out is that the whole game has a artstyle as if the game was painted with water colours as you can probably see in the picture above.

adidas starwars collection

adidas decided to do a whole line of clothing baced on starwars, this is very interesting to me not just because i like starwars but that it takes todays pop cultre and mixes it up alittle bit my incorperating something that is looked at as beeing something nerdy or un-cool and displays it in a hip way that goes along with todays styles

kanye west - Runaway

  Not too long ago i discovered a 30 min music video that kanye both directed and acted in for his new album . at first i expected it to be just a simple music video with no plot and no artistic value. although when i started watching it i realized that i was story about kanye and his views on the world as a artist.

    the video starts out with him driving in a old exotic car down a forest road , then his car gets hit by  a angel in the form of a comet. kanye brings the uncaunses angel back home and starts to teach it about the world (table manners ect..) he falls in love with this angel and trys to get  it excepted into his family, this ofcourse dusnt work and is ruind soon after when the angel sees that the family was going to eat a turkey and the angel starts screaming.

   at the end the angel talks about her experiance in this world and says how she first loved the world because of its beauty but then realized that the people dont aperciate diffrent things and try to change what they dont understand. so the angel leaves kanye and the world to go back to were it came from.

    this relates to me because its hard to be creative when people are contently judging you and are always negative to things that they cant relate to. for example when i go to a youth retreat with other churches that are connected to mine everyone wears tight jeans tight shirts and skate boarding shoes and have the same hair cut, and i realy dont like social groups where u have so look act and sound the same in order to be excepted.
that something that i would rather do without and its one way that i relate to this video.
