Not too long ago i discovered a 30 min music video that kanye both directed and acted in for his new album . at first i expected it to be just a simple music video with no plot and no artistic value. although when i started watching it i realized that i was story about kanye and his views on the world as a artist.
the video starts out with him driving in a old exotic car down a forest road , then his car gets hit by a angel in the form of a comet. kanye brings the uncaunses angel back home and starts to teach it about the world (table manners ect..) he falls in love with this angel and trys to get it excepted into his family, this ofcourse dusnt work and is ruind soon after when the angel sees that the family was going to eat a turkey and the angel starts screaming.
at the end the angel talks about her experiance in this world and says how she first loved the world because of its beauty but then realized that the people dont aperciate diffrent things and try to change what they dont understand. so the angel leaves kanye and the world to go back to were it came from.
this relates to me because its hard to be creative when people are contently judging you and are always negative to things that they cant relate to. for example when i go to a youth retreat with other churches that are connected to mine everyone wears tight jeans tight shirts and skate boarding shoes and have the same hair cut, and i realy dont like social groups where u have so look act and sound the same in order to be excepted.
that something that i would rather do without and its one way that i relate to this video.
